Vic Piuk
tours from the Western Front’s most northern point on the
Belgium coast, down 800kms to its most southern end where France meets Switzerland. These
include the Great War Battlefields of Flanders, Artois, the Somme, Aisne, Marne, Champagne,
Verdun and the Vosges. He also focuses on the nationalities involved in the fighting, be they British,
Commonwealth, American, French and German.
Vic particularly likes to guide walking tours of the Western Front battlefields and also specialises in
the literature and poetry of the Great War. He has Slovenian heritage and has an extensive
knowledge of the Isonzo front in Slovenia and has guided groups there and in Italy.

Ypres, the City of Peace, (pronounced EE-PER) is spelt two different ways: Ypres, & Ieper. Like most places in West Flanders Belgium, (like Bruges/Brugge) this city has both a french and flemish name, which can be used interchangeably by travellers.

There are exactly 300 Commonwealth Grave Cemeteries in France, and 300 Commonwealth Grave Cemereirs in Belgium dedicated to the First & Second World War

Tours to the Grange Tunnel at Vimy Ridge are free but reservations must be made on-site on the day of the visit. Other tunnel tours include Wellington Quarries in Arras, or those more able-bodied travellers can enquire with us about a private visit underground with specialist guides to other, raw areas.
